This Year's Kitchen Goals

2022 Cooking Goals
  1. VEG/FISH: Cook at least three vegetarian or fish meals per week.
  2. PHOTO: Include a photo of a meal at least once a week.
  3. GUESTS: Whenever it's safe again, have one or more people over for a meal each month.
  4. BACKLOG2: Within the year, I'll clear out my old binders for collecting recipes.
  5. BACKLOG3: More ambitiously, also clear out the high IVAR stack of recipes in the cookbook shelves within the year.
  6. RECYCLE: This year, recycle at least another 20 cookbooks.
  7. NEW: This year, add no more than 5 cookbooks to my collection. Each additional new book adds 2 to the target for the RECYCLE goal.

Book
    1. The Wine Bible, 2nd Edition, by Karen MacNeil (WineBible). I'm reading the  introductory material material now, and will read the section on France next. I've already noticed that's not complete, with Fronton and Gaillac not mentioned, but the book is thick enough without being complete.
    2. Heston Blumenthal at Home, by Heston Blumenthal (Heston). Nancy recommended this so heartily at BookChattters that I found a cheapish copy at ABEbooks.
    3. Arabesque: A Taste of Morocco, Turkey & Lebanon, by Claudia Roden (Arabesque). I've seen this book recommended several times and finally found a reasonably priced copy. Clauida Roden is always good.
    4. Marcella's Italian Kitchen, by Marcella Hazan. In Ingredienti, Hazan refers to a popular recipe of hers from this book. Couldn't find it online, so ...
